About Me
I am a third-year middle school Theatre Arts teacher who often finds herself resembling a deer in headlights, desperately calling out “line!” for some guidance. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job. Sure, I have had my moments of stress, tears and hair-pulling, but I have also had some of the best laughs of my life. After ten years of searching, I have finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up.
I will say that most of my stress as a new teacher has come from lack of theatre resources and curriculum guidance. I find myself desperately searching for good material. I don’t want to work out of a textbook. I have a lot of theatre knowledge but I struggle sometimes with how to channel it into interesting, adolescent-appropriate activities. I would like this website to become a compilation of my fun (and maybe some not-so-fun) adventures as a new teacher, as well as a resource for good lessons I have found throughout my many late-night searches.
Please be patient as I get this site up and running, and thanks for stopping by!
